Agartala Airport, the second largest Airport in terms of passengers traffic is planning to add a new terminal. The state government had acquired 72 acres of land with an investment of Rs. 350 million. The project is yet to get environmental clearance. As of 2015, the passengers traffic had increased to 9 lakhs.
